My goal is unpacking 10 boxes per day, though once I get started, I usually do more. I did 17 today – all jars of home canned food. That’s a pain because I have to take the quart jars out of their own little box, then take their little box out of the big box, then put the box where I want it and put all the jars back in it. I went out and moved some stuff off the back porch into the downstairs garage.
Unpacking ten boxes per day, I’ll get the food storage room emptied by Friday.
There are a few boxes in the downstairs family room that I want to get unpacked and get that room all set up so when Vince does come, it will be a nice, comfy place for him to watch TV.
The kitchen boxes are unpacked except for those two “drawer” boxes. I’m going to do that this afternoon.
The master bedroom is unpacked except for two boxes of my clothes and I didn’t have any clothes hangers but I got those this morning so I’m going to do that this afternoon too.
That’s a lot of unpacking for one day . . I think once the drawer boxes and my clothes are unpacked, I will have earned myself some knitting time.

You’re going gangbusters! This encourages me to set some small goals for cleaning out some areas of my house…

I can hear the big breathes you’ll be taking as rooms are fully unpacked and settled in. Yea you!!!!!!

Today I did three things that I have been putting off. I punched paper and put together a small homemade journal from 2 years ago. I did a ribbon weaving heart shape I’ve been thinking of for 4 months. I tossed out the two bags of homemade playdough since my grandkids can’t come over and use it anymore. It feels good to get things off my mental “one day I will do it” list! Maybe you are influencing me….

It does feel so good to get rid of things I know I’ll never use. Good for you!

Do you think you’re going to unpack everything, including boxes you moved to Texas and never opened (if you have some)? We have a stash of boxes in that category out in our storage building. Out of sight, out of mind.
Judy Laquidara says
The problem is that here, as of now, there’s no “out of sight/out of mind” til we get a shop built. I think everything that’s mine (clothes, kitchen stuff, crafty things) have been unpacked in Texas. I do hope to be box free and I had told Vince I’d like to reach that point by the first of 2021 but he said all the boxes aren’t even going to be here by then. I did get all the boxes out of the master bedroom today but Vince will still have a lot to bring.
To answer your question . . I don’t know!

I think you will make this goal and besides you don’t even have those boxes that are still in Texas!!
Judy Laquidara says
Please don’t ever mention the stuff left in Texas again! 🙂 I’m so ready for the move to be 100% done and I know Vince is too.(And, I’m just joking about not ever mentioning it again!)
