I have a visitor for the weekend.
It isn’t even winter yet and she thinks my house is too cold. She actually slept in her jacket and was wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket. I asked her if she got hot during the night and she said no.
This bread is made with 25% kamut. We’re having soup and sandwiches for lunch . . can’t wait to cut into this bread.
The windows are open. The wind is blowing. It feels like Fall and I love it. The only thing that would make it better is if Vince were here and I could hear him cheering for Clemson but he is watching the game in Texas.

After getting used to a temp of 75-76 in the house over the summer I feel chilly too at 69 during the day & 65 at night. I live in sweats when it gets chilly and have put a second quilt on the bed. Addy looks pretty cozy in her jacket & fleece blanket. From what I can see in that picture I think you must have the loveseat twin to my couch!

If yours is Lazy Boy, it may be the same. I didn’t really have room for the sofa and may regret later having not gotten it.

Fall is here for us in the NW too.
After a heat wave and horrible fires that got to within a few miles of us, we finally got rain that cleared out a weeks worth of smoke.
Our daytime temps are in the high 60’s and low 70’s but our nights are in the 40’s.
Trees have started to turn but we have so many evergreens it’s a far cry from NY/NJ where we spent 40+ years.
The winters here are rainy but we only get snow every 3-4 years.
I enjoy it and bought 20 lbs of apples that I turned into apple butter and applesauce that I canned.
I even cut 2 quilt projects that I will start soon.
I am delighted that you made the move closer to Addie, you will make memories that will last a lifetin=me for you and her.
