Last night Rita had me up most of the night again so I called and made a appointment with the vet here. A week ago Monday Vince took her to the vet in Brownwood and we spent $184, and didn’t see any difference. Today I spent $290 but that included 6 months of both Heartguard and flea meds.
The vet thinks it’s stress. They did a full blood workup a month ago, they did another stool sample today and found nothing. The vet said she’s seen this kind of things happen before with dogs during a move/lots of household changes. The vet is good with what I’m feeding her – chicken and rice. She gave her an antibiotic to take for 10 days, and a probiotic.
I should take a nap but then I might not sleep tonight and I really need a good night’s sleep.

I was thinking it might be the move and the long ride in the car. She’ll adjust soon I hope. I can’t imagine experiencing things without sight. She’s a good girl.

I hope she gets better. Too bad they didn’t give her some sort of mild tranquilizer. I hope you get some rest too. Maybe Vince will still think about coming there.

She is so precious and she misses Vince.

Hoping both you and Rita get some rest.

I got a catalog in the mail this week – In The company of Dogs. I’ve never ordered from them but I do order from Chewy and I imagine that’s how on got on a mailing list for this catalog. They have a section on wellness support for dogs which includes some essential oils used to treat anxiety. Apparently CBD oil can be used to treat stress and anxiety. I’ve never heard this before – interesting idea.

Poor girl. Even if she did enjoy attention from the movers, that was very out of the ordinary, too. I hope she can settle down soon!r

Bless her heart. You and Vince, as well. Our last fur-baby was high maintenance, too. It’s. It’s so stressful when it doesn’t seem like you can get ahead of their issues. Praying for peace and calm. I’m so sorry.

Poor baby, she is so confused. She may think Vince is not coming back! When he calls, let her hear his voice and maybe it will help. My friend who is bind was officed across the hall from me. Every day at 5 her dog Sharp would get up, come get me and let me know it was time for us to go down the hill!! I always walked with them. Anyway, one day he was sick and she could do nothing to get him to come around. She called me and asked me if I would talk to him. When he heard my voice, he perked up and stood up. He got better after that call. Maybe when Vince calls you need to let Rita hear his voice.

I usually have the phone on speaker when I’m talking to him so she hears that but she doesn’t react much. I think she will be very glad when he’s here full time (as will I).

Maybe Vince could mail you a shirt he has worn and let her sleep in it.
