Packing the longarm is scary for me, probably because I have a mental block about putting anything together. Legos make me nauseous just thinking about them. Every time we’ve moved a long arm, I worry and fret about it and we’ve never had any problems with the moving or getting it put back together.
Here it is, on its side, off the table, looking totally helpless.
Vince took pictures, made notes and we have the installation guide where we put it together when it was new. I stood there and Over and over said “Do you still need me?” I would do better with him doing that without me watching but that’s kinda wimping out and not being very helpful.
I will think about it and all the “what ifs” til it’s put back together and running again.

I thought you said you were going to sell it?
Judy Laquidara says
I don’t think I ever said that but maybe I did.
Teri says
Maybe once you said you were thinking about it. Glad you didn’t sell it; can’t wait to see the quilts you make in MO!
Judy Laquidara says
I’m sure I did say that I was thinking about it but I was never convinced that I wouldn’t want to use it some day.
Diann Smith says
Vince will know exactly what to do. I like reading about all the things he figures out and does. You mention a problem and next thing he’s fixing whatever. I hope in your new place you go back to more quilting in addition to knitting.

When are the movers coming? I seem to remember 10/12 being the date. Anyway – it’s getting close!
Judy Laquidara says
Yes! Monday.
Kathleen R Robin says
I will be thinking of you on Monday with the move going on. Stressful I should think. We have lived in our house for 59 years so you can imagine all the stuff we have accumulated. I did manage to go through a lot of stuff the first months of the covid shut down but still it would be scary to even think of moving. It is our Thanksgiving on Monday so a Holiday for use. Yours is yet to come and you will be in your new home so that will be very very nice for you. Good luck on Monday all the best.
Nelle Coursey says
Vince is an engineer, he knows what he is doing and with his notes, he will know exactly what to do to get it put back together. He knows what it means to you. He will have it back together in no time. Please be safe in your moving Monday. I know the movers will do a good job and get there ok, but please be careful on your drive!
Susan Nixon says
I wish I had one about 3 years older with the smaller table. I’m not crazy about this wider one. I hate changing the needle because it’s a real pain with the ruler foot that comes with the machine now, too. And getting it in straight – ha, ha, another pain.
Judy Laquidara says
Not sure which machine you’re talking about. I think the one I have now is about the same in most aspects as the older one I had. Changing the needle was the same. I don’t think any of mine came with ruler feet. I just use the same rulers I’ve been using since my first OLD machine. I haven’t looked at new machines in years so the newer ones may be totally different from mine, which I think is a 2012 or 2015 . . somewhere in there . . model.
