I was telling Vince about this frog I saw the other day. When I got to the part about it being kinda lime green and sparkly, Vince said “Have you been eating those funny mushrooms?” He didn’t believe me and then I said . . wait, I took a picture of it.
All those little bumpy spots were kinda like green glitter. He was on a deck post on the stairs on the side where I never go down (because that’s also where I saw the snake). Vince had just cleaned out some growth down there so I thought maybe he was a fake frog left by the former owners so I was leaning over to look at him and he moved. Not a fake frog but he was really cute.
I hope he lives around here and I see him again. He made me smile. It must be fun to be lime green and sparkly. I wonder if he even knows he sparkles.
Does anyone know what kind of frog he is?

We have a lot of tree frogs that live around our deck. They serenade us too! I love having them around and they look like your little guy.

Actually, I think it’s a toad. Toads tend to have dryer skin and shorter hind legs. Not sure what kind he is, though! 🙂

Don’t you remember “It’s not easy, being green…”? Although at the end, he decides it’s pretty OK. I think the song mentions sparkles on a lake, which your frog/toad seems to have taken to heart! 🙂

We have a Water Dragon and his dots are all sparkly!

Whatever he is, he is interesting!

Maybe he is related to Kermit??
