Yesterday Addie asked if we could have blueberry ebelskivers or breakfast. I told her we didn’t have any blueberries but she reminded me that I used a blueberry pancake mix last time but I didn’t have any of that either. This kitchen isn’t fully stocked yet!
This morning I remembered that we had bought apples yesterday so I made apple pie ebelskivers.
She was a little apprehensive because she doesn’t do so great about trying new things but she loved them. Vince loved them too.
Vince stays on me about the money I spend, and probably rightfully so. He’s kinda learned not to come right out and say “When did you buy this pan?” or “How much did that cost?” Sometimes he feels like I do things for Addie that I never do for him. Yes, I often feel like I have two children!
So here’s our breakfast conversation:
Vince: Where did you buy this pan?
Me: Amazon.
Vince: You had it shipped here? (MO)
Me: No. We didn’t have this house in 2015. (I knew the question was coming so I had already looked it up on the blog when I was looking for the recipe).
Vince: How come you’ve never fixed these for me?
Me: I bought this pan in 2015. January, 2015! I’ve used it at least a dozen times in Texas.
He never did remember it and if it’s a few months before I fix them again, I’ll probably get the same set of questions.

Vince is too funny! I wish Lee would ask me about my food processor and when I got that so I could say, “Honey don’t you remember? I got it 35 years ago, right after we got married!” That thing is a workhorse! Glad you’re making such wonderful memories with Addie!

I have a Cuisinart food processor I got in 1979 or 1980 and I still use it a lot.

Yes you do have two children! And the oldest one is jealous of the youngest one! LOL Does he not remember all the things you do only for him!

What is you recipe for Ebelskivers…..I would love to make them
Judy Laquidara says
I use all different ones. The one I made yesterday was from King Arthur. Apple Pie Ebelskivers I think it was called.

“When did you buy this pan?” Vince said as he enjoyed the ebelskivers. ;-).
