I’ve made one bargello quilt.
I love it now that it’s finished but it was crazy working on it. That was during the time that we had two homes an I’d work on it some at one house, then take it all down off the design wall and take it to the other house. I stayed confused and can’t believe I ever got it all finished.
Remember the other day I mentioned that I found down comforter? It’s olive green and when I found it, I was trying to remember why I had bought an olive green comforter but then I remembered that I had planned to have this quilt on the bed and have the comforter folded across the bottom of the bed. That down comforter is only to be used on super cold nights because it’s very, very warm.
I’m not sure I’ll ever make another bargello quilt. It was fun but I love traditional piecing more.

I’ve never made a bargello quilt but always wanted to. But the thought of trying to pick out 20 or so fabrics is too daunting. I obviously don’t want to make it that much!

That is just amazing. I would only make one if I ever get the courage for that one,

I’ve made one bargello quilt, maybe two, I forget. I always intended to make that heart one, still have the pattern, but never did make it. Yours is lovely!

I have all the fabric pulled for a bargello and look forward to making it. I’ve made table runners and placemats and love the piecing, but somehow the big quilt scares me, so I haven’t started it yet.

Your bargello is beautiful. The first one I made, my quilting friend and I made them together which really helped make it easier. Several years later we made another, but she got way ahead of me and I got confused. I finally finished it nearly a year later. I gave it to my daughter. Now I am working on the panels for another one. It’s a larger version of the same pattern I made first. This one is for my son in his favorite colors. Hope it turns out well.
