Addie has decided that the sun room will become her play room.
Initially, we had all this set up in the room in the basement where the freeze dryer will be and which is really kind of a storage room. It has tile floors and the Barbie house has a pool so it’s not sitting on wood floors are carpet. I figured once we’re living here, we’ll spend most of our time in the basement since that’s where the TV will be and the sewing room will be but for now, we weren’t spending much time down there and she wasn’t crazy about being down there by herself so much. She didn’t mind but after a while, she wanted someone else down there with her and I understand that.
Yesterday I asked her if she’s like to bring the Barbie house and other doll furniture to the sun room, which is right off the kitchen and breakfast room and if I’m in the family room, we can still talk from the sewing room to the family room. She loved that idea so we brought everything up.
This afternoon, she said “Can we just start calling this room ‘the playroom’?” I told her that was between her and Grumps. We had talked about putting wicker or rattan furniture in the sun room but the breakfast room is almost like a sun room with windows on two sides so I don’t know what we’ll do. Nothing for a while probably so . . it’s probably going to get more use as a play room and a sun room and that’s fine with me.
Once the furniture and sewing stuff arrives and we’re living here and spending more time downstairs, if she wants to move her things back down there, she can do that, or she can keep it where it is . . so long as Vince agrees with that idea.
