Last night I went ahead and ordered the yarn for LeSoir. I plan to make one for a gift and one for me but who knows when/if I’ll get either finished. Probably about one-third of my yarn is packed and I’m feeling anxious about not having it where I can get to it. Maybe that’s why I’ve almost been impulsively buying yarn a bit lately. There’s no rhyme or reason for anything I do but you all know that already.
I knew I wanted to make one using the White Peppercorn and wasn’t sure what other color I’d use. The other color will probably end up being mine. I kinda wanted green, kinda wanted purple; thought about what I mostly wear and went with blue.
The pattern is already all set up in Knit Companion so I’ll be ready to get started as soon as the yarn arrives. Today is Thursday and it may ship out today. Monday is a postal holiday (I think) so I probably won’t have it til Wednesday. I was thinking I might go to MO on Wednesday but I suppose if this yarn is arriving, I may wait til Thursday. Of course, I don’t have the sewing room packed yet and you know Vince is going to sell all my stuff if I leave again before that room is packed. Decisions!
Speaking of him selling my stuff, I read him what I wrote and he said “No, I didn’t say I’d sell it .. I said I would trade it for favors.” I told him I thought that was illegal and he said he meant favors like cooking and cleaning! We’re getting old!!

About your yarn being packed – I thought your yarn was in tubs, so isn’t already packed? or are you putting the yarn into plastic bags so it fits better into your car? How is the fabric packing going?
How is Vince doing with his packing? How far along on the packing plan are you’ll doing?
BTW – the pattern and the colors are great – enjoy the knitting time.

Took it all out of tubs, put it in trash bags (I’ve already heard all the cons about doing that) and then stacked the empty tubs. A lot of the yarn bags are already in MO. I can use the trash bags of yarn to fill in gaps in boxes or to stuff into empty spots in the car. It will take up way less room in the truck during the actual move.
The fabric is mostly packed. I can put 20 bolts in each big box and I think I have about 60 or maybe 80 bolt left. I can knock that out in the morning. Four racks of fabric are packed and one remains.
The first load will happen October 12 (or during that week). That will be mostly sewing room stuff and household stuff. I’ll stay in MO and get all that unpacked and put away. Then Vince will come back and pack up the shop and schedule the second load. Most everything except furniture and sewing room stuff will end up in the garage (upstairs for upstairs stuff and downstairs for downstairs stuff) so I need to get all that put away before they come with the stuff out of Vince’s shop.

we all know times are really stressful now a days. And moving on top of that!!! And knitting, crocheting, quilting etc. are stress reducing.. A project in hand seems reasonable to me.

They really are. I can’t tell you how much I look forward to calling it a day on the packing and getting to sit and knit for a while.

What would be the worse thing Vince could do, would be to pack it for you. You might never find your yarn again.LOL
