Yesterday a friend sent me a picture of a shawl she was going to make. I’ve been looking for a pretty but easy shawl for Nicole and I to knit together. She’s a good knitter but she needs to take it to the next level (if she wants to) but it’s so hard to work, be a mom, be a wife, have chickens, a dog, a cat . . there are so many things taking up her time and when you knit a difficult project and can only knit 5 minutes here, 2 minutes there . . it takes longer than it’s worth to figure out where you are in the pattern and get the rhythm going again.
When I saw Janna’s pattern, I knew that was the pattern. Then she showed me the yarn and . . you know what happened next.
It’s DK weight yarn and I think it will be the perfect project for us to work on together when we have a few minutes here and there.
This is the kit, though I got the last two kits.

You’ll both have fun with that one. I made a very similar one – makes for a great car project too.

When I read this statement, “when you knit a difficult project” I thought uh-oh, does Judy think this is a difficult pattern and if Judy thinks it’s difficult I’m in trouble! 🙂

You are right about limited time and how long it takes to find your place! That’s really pretty yarn, and you’ll have something you can work on together … now that you are practically neighbors!

Sometimes eyesight issues can be funny. When I read the title of this post I thought it yam not yarn. LOL But anyway, I think that is going to be a fun project for both of you. I wish I had a local knitting buddy to help me go to the next step.
