Yesterday was another day of running around. Who knew needing a hacksaw would result in a four hour trip to town? 🙂 Oh, that husband of mine does love to shop. I think he feels like he’s making good progress because I’ve gone to town with him so many times this trip but it’s only because I need a few things too. After this trip, I may never go shopping again.
We went out yesterday morning – Lowe’s, Home Depot, Sam’s Club. Of course, he can’t pass Walmart without stopping. We got home and then he wanted something from the grocery store so . . back to town. Thank goodness it isn’t far!
While in the Harp’s, Vince said “Want to get a rotisserie chicken for dinner?” I already had a roast cooked in the pressure cooker but that will keep – rotisserie chicken sounds fine.
I put tater tots in the countertop oven and set it to “air fry” and they were perfect. Vince didn’t realize it had a fan in it but it does and it worked as well as my air fryer. One less appliance to move!
These are the booklets that came with it. The one I have is a model TOD1775G.
I googled that number and got this page at Black & Decker. It shows “out of stock” but it may no longer be available since I’ve probably had mine for a year or so, even though I had never used it. Similar ones will show up on the google search and they’re in the $40 to $60 range. While I cannot roast a whole turkey in it, nor can I bake a 9 x 13 cake in it, it seems like the perfect little appliance for us and in the past week, I have used it several times a day, every day.

I bought the Ninja Foodi Flip – I have limited counter space and I can flip this one up when not in use. I love it – I use it almost daily – my only complaint is ‘low clearance’ so I can’t do a whole chicken but it’s great for just about everything else. And a big bonus – it doesn’t throw off any heat when in use which in the summer is a big plus.

I’ve been wanting to try out an air fryer but now I see all the 6 all in ones and I’ve wondered do they do a good job at all 6. I got a bday coming up in Oct and I think this what i am going to ask for.

You’ve got me really considering a countertop oven (since the first time Vince bought one and it’s so multi-function). I wonder about Karen’s comment, though…how much heat do you get from this? Also, I’d have to give up my good old microwave and rely on the one in the range. (Yes, I currently have two. I don’t want to give up the functions of my old countertop one).

I have a small oven that we bought when our big one went out several years ago. They had to order the part so we got the little one and it worked for us. I think I still want one of the Ninja appliances that does everything! Slow cooks, power cooker, air fryer, and grill all in one!! That sounds wonderful! I love grilling but hate going out in the hot, cold or rain!

Thanks for the thought that getting a toaster oven/air fryer would be having only one appliance do two jobs. I am trying to downsize.
