When I left Texas on Monday to go to Missouri, I looked at the odometer and calculated the mileage there and back, and a couple of trips to Nevada, MO and was sure I’d have 100,000 miles on the car by the time I got back to Texas.
I only ended up going to Nevada once so I didn’t hit the 100,000 mile mark but I came close. This car never gets used except for the trips to MO and back so it will happen on the next trip.

How is Rita?
Nelle Coursey says
I had a car once that we ran over that many miles. I think it was our last Jeep and it was due to all the trips to the Dr. in Abilene, Temple and other places!!

i was watching for mine to turn over to 100,000. It was less than 20 miles when i looked at it and then i totally forgot about it. It’s always been fun to see it do that, though.

Are you home now then? How is Rita?
Sandi B says
My 82 Honda Civic and 91 Acura Legend both had over 250,000 miles on them when we sold them. They were fastidiously maintained and not driven hard. Yours will not make it that many miles, though…and that’s a good thing!
Laura says
I can’t top Sandi B for mileage, but I do have a 2010 Lexus SUV that is approaching 130,000 miles. That’s the most miles I’ve ever put on a vehicle. I’ve put way fewer miles on it since COVID arrived, and I really have no interest in going to look for a new car. Very unusual for me.
Judy Laquidara says
My miles are all road trip miles. My car has to be put on a battery maintainer once a week just to keep the battery charged. We never drive it between trips to MO but, like you, we aren’t going much of anywhere these days.
Susan Nixon says
Oh, you’re only about 6000 miles behind my Fusion!
Judy Laquidara says
I surely hope we get settled and stop these long trips before I catch up with you.
