Nicole is coming over after work today and we’re going to do an early birthday celebration for Addie I was going to cook but decided there are so many great restaurants nearby, I’d just pick up food.
I’ve always liked Woody’s Smokehouse. Where else can you get “Texas-style BBQ with a little MO Flav-r”? Addie and I ran by there and picked up pulled pork and brisket, along with a few sides so that will be our dinner.
I looked up bakeries and found Lynne’s Artsy Cakes. It was too late to get a cake but she was able to make a dozen cupcakes for us.
Addie saw the macarons and wanted some of those so we brought a few of those home too.
I’m glad to be close to Woody’s but that bakery may be a real problem for the low carb diet I’m hoping to get back on soon.

I don’t really know you either but I feel like I know you and the whole family. I check every day to see what new adventure you are having ?. I am an all the time quilter and a sometimes knitter. Thank you for providing me with new patterns, new recipes and just fun stories.

Happy Birthday Addie. You are making sooooooo many memories with her. Having emmigrated as an infant, I met my Grandparents 3X each, but had no relationship. I see what I missed. I’m so so so grateful for Addie. Gotta stop so I don’t cry..

I hear you! With the diabetes now, I can’t have sugar so I have to be careful what I eat. I might have to cheat though if those cupcakes were here!!
