Keeping a good supply of food on hand is important to me and all the effort was worthwhile with the events of the past few months.
Our first house in MO had a large room in the basement and I kept enough space behind my shelf units that I could put food in on one side and take it out on the other side, always using the “first in/first out” method. That’s how we started off in the large closet in the house in Texas but once we added the freeze dryer, my path behind the shelves was blocked and I had to pay close attention to be sure food wasn’t expiring on the shelves while I was using the newer cans.
We were able to get this Shelf Reliance storage rack here and I brought some cans from home so Addie has enjoyed putting the cans where they go. She really wanted me to go out and buy more cans of food. She wants to fill it up . . I told her once I bring the cans from home and we see what we need, we can buy more cans. When I’ve cooked and needed a canned veggie, I’ve let her pick what she wanted.
Today it was Dr. Pepper Baked Beans. Can’t go wrong with that!

I love that rack. How hard was it to get home and assembled?

Shelf Reliance are the best racks! I couldn’t afford the whole one, so I bought some of the shelf can rotaters from them. Really makes it nice, but I’d still like the whole shelf unit like yours. I’ve never seen those beans, but I bet they are good.
