It’s a knitting pattern! I’m not going to show pictures of a real lizard’s eyes . . but I could because there are so many of them around here.
One thing about Camp Loopy at The Loopy Ewe is that everyone does the most amazing projects and so many of them I want to do too. I’ve added probably three or four dozen projects to my list of “some day” projects.
One project shared on Facebook is called Lizard Eyes. It’s the kind of pattern I love – short row shaping and the colors really accent the design. These are the colors the lady used who made it and shared it online.
I would never have put these two colors together but the finished project was just gorgeous . . gorgeous enough that I ordered the exact same yarn and color she used. When the yarn arrived, I looked at it and had to go back to the project shared on FB to be sure I had ordered the right yarn. I would never have put these two colors together but .. wait til you see my finished project.
When might that be? Who knows?

I saw that same shawl in one of the Camp Loopy threads and it is gorgeous in the colors she used and has made me think again about that pattern. I would never have looked twice at pattern in the original colors the designer used but now I can see some different possibilities.

I definitely would not have chosen the yarn she used but seeing hers, I love it!

I haven’t seen the actual project but when I was getting ready to read your blog post & saw your yarn selections I thought you were going to knit a peacock design with that lovely & unique combination! I am so excited & happy for you re: your move to MO!

Those are beautiful colors! I know you are going to love it! When I worked at a bank her back in the 70’s we had uniforms that were the colors of the green and blue! I loved them. They were so pretty but they were a western theme! Not really me! I even had white ostrich skin boots to go with them!!! We were lucky because the lady that owned the western store let us have them at a discount. I only paid $60 for a pair of Tony Lama Boots that would have cost me about $400 or more today! I gave them away a long time ago because they no longer fit.
