I suppose 2020 will be a year like no other for most of us. In some ways, the year is flying by. In other ways, 2020 and the hardships that started this year – it seems like it may never end. There’s no guarantee that 2021 will be any better but hope springs eternal!
It’s really hard for me to believe that on July 5, I found our new home for sale online, called and here we are with a house in MO. It’s funny because we told the seller just to keep the keys, we’ll talk to them before we go and make arrangements to get the keys. Vince said it was so weird – we bought a house we’d never seen; we bought almost all the furniture in the house from the sellers; we tell them to keep the keys – we’ll get them later. I even asked them if I could have a rather large item I wanted to order for Addie for Christmas sent to their new home and they can bring it by the house when we’re there.
Some time in August, we will make a trip to MO, spend a week or so at the house, get internet hooked up, get some shelves to put up in the sewing room, empty out the apartment and turn in those keys. I spent all of three nights there. It was a good idea but didn’t work out as planned.
After so much happening in July, I’m anxious to see what August holds! 🙂

I hope it is better for everyone. We have had way too much trauma and drama in the last several months. I just want some semblance of normal. I don’t think it will ever go back to what we believed normal was.

What a memorable year for so many things ! Addie spent over a month with you, a new home, a move, that is a busy one for sure. The best is that Addie is old enough to remember everything you did on the farm and now she can share all new things like quilting, a small garden, trips to area adventures and “weekends “@ granny ‘s. I can’t imagine better timing

With this pandemic I am so grateful we are retired and able to stay at home with a guaranteed income and safety measures in place. Your new adventure is fun for me and I am very happy for you and yours. I love for you to share your days with all of us who read your blog. Happy trails.

I agree. I feel really terrible for those who thought they had a steady job and income and due to no fault of their own, find themselves either without jobs and/or income.

Ha, ha, maybe I should spend fall in your apartment. LOL Life is so messed up, but it’s nice to know that your plans are moving along so well, and the house is really happening. Dreams do come true. =)
