I haven’t had as much knitting time as I’d like to have but I think that’s expected and understandable.
Tomorrow I can start the Camp Loopy August project so I’ll put this down and get started on that. The August project requires at least 800 yards. That’s a lot of knitting for me in one month – add in the garden, the packing, the trips back and forth to MO. I’ll be surprised if I get it done but you never know. At least I’m going to try!
Speaking of the garden, the okra is growing like crazy. We planted it the first time, went back and filled in the bare spots, then decided it was too bad so Vince tilled it all under, added several things to the soil, planted again. I’ve used almost a full gallon of chelated liquid iron (spray the leaves) on it and last night I cut enough okra for dinner tonight. It looks like it’s going to be the best crop of okra we’ve ever had here . . if I can keep it watered enough. We haven’t had a single drop of rain in July and August isn’t usually very wet so if we’re gone a week and the okra doesn’t get watered, it will wither up and I’ll be sad but . . that’s part of what we have going on right now.

This is just so pretty!! Would you mind sharing the pattern? I’m ready to try knitting with beads and this would be perfect. Good luck with the packing, but you’ll need to take a knitting break every now and then 🙂

We are supposed to have rain Sunday morning and maybe Sunday night. Hope so anyway! A good rain is a lot better than all the watering you can do,
