Adding anything to what we’re packing is not a good idea right now!
This package came from Simply Sock Yarn. I had been wanting the Uneek Sock tiger sock yarn and they had been out of it so when I saw it, I grabbed two of them – one for me and one for Addie. I also got a couple of skeins of striping yarn. When there’s a lot going on, socks seem to be my comfort knitting projects.
I’m still trying to come up with the perfect yarn for a new Mystery Knit Along. I want to do it in Webb City’s school colors, ordered a kit but felt like the red was too burgundy and the white had speckles so I ordered three different reds to audition. Look how close those reds are in color. No one dyes yarn like Miss Babs.
After seeing the yarns, I may end up using the white speckle that came with the kit and using either the red in the middle (of all five skeins) or the red on the right. I need to soak whatever red I’m going to use and make sure it doesn’t bleed before using with with the white though. Maybe I’ll do that today!

How do you set dye in yarn if it does bleed? Is it like for fabric?
Nelle Coursey says
I love these colors. They look so soft!

You could send new purchases to Nicole and she could hold onto them or put them into the apartment for you until you get back there next.

We’ll be out of the apartment in a week or so. They both work and are gone all day so I’m not real comfortable with packages sitting on their porch. The package I ordered for Addie has a picture on the outside so that would ruin the surprise.
