Love that she sent you a hand written thank you note! I’ve gotten too many thank you emails that I really don’t like!!

Addie is obviously being brought up right as indicated by the hand written thank you.

Lol. My granddaughter called my husband “Grumps” also. I love to hear others using that name… it brings back sweet memories.

We got to pick our names: MiMi (Me-me) and Grumps. Mine, so they could say it at an early age. Grumps, because I think he was told to stop being grumpy when he didn’t care and didn’t want to think of a name for himself. My children so frequently laugh at that name. We are just waiting for the grands to figure out the meaning, that it’s not “just a name”. And all the questions that will come with that.

Obviously Addie’s parents were brought up properly and are bringing Addie up the same way! I have a couple of the notes that I sent to my grandparents over 70 years ago. My Grandmother must have enjoyed getting notes from me as much as you enjoyed Addie’s thank you note since she saved them so long and I was able to find them after she passed away.

I remember being probably a few years older than Addie and being so disappointed when I didn’t get a letter from my grandma. They didn’t have a phone and she would write me several times a week. I’d go in the house with the mail, read her letter, sit down and write her back and put it in the next day’s mail.
