There’s a great Farmers’ Market in our new town and they’re open for a few hours three days a week. I’m not sure if they’re open all year or just in the growing season but they sell so many things. It all has to be grown or produced by the seller. They have a Facebook page and each day they’re open, they post which venders will be there and what they will have. I’ve been reading it to Vince every time they post – fresh roasted coffee beans, bitter melons, any kind of vegetable you can think of, fresh eggs, homemade cheeses. I can’t wait to visit that Farmers’ Market.
Vince said “You don’t have to check it every day! We’re not living there yet.” I told him . . I’m so excited. I can’t stop looking at things to do around there.
He said “I think we’re both going to love living there!” That was the best thing he could have said to me. I know Vince and I know that he would never have agreed to move there if he didn’t think he was going to be happy but I felt kinda bad because it wasn’t his first choice. With my bridge issues, in order to visit Chad and family in Louisiana, we’re stuck living on this side of the Mississippi. He would have loved to have retired in north Georgia or even Florida.
We’ll see how he feels in about February when it’s cold and there’s snow on the ground but I think he’s pretty happy about the new location too

They do have an amazing farmer’s market in WC. The first time I went I wanted to make a purchase it was a few minutes till 9:00. Couldn’t do it. The lady has to ring the bell right at 9:00 before any purchase can be made. A lot of people go there. The fresh produce is wonderful.

Glad to hear Vince’s enthusiasm and know this will be great. I want to hear the funny conversations he and Addie have, must be hysterical..

We have 5 farmer;s markets per week here in our little area of NC, and many farm stands… AND one of the farmer’s markets is open year round! They always have a pasture raised meat farmer… and a bakery, a gentleman that grows greenhouse veggies that taste good ( he says because he does not pick til they are ripe)…and a few other folks. Of course way more in the season but still lovely to have. It sounds like your new home will have many wonderful things to explore! Congrats.

I’m happy for you both! Imagine how much time you’ll save if you don’t grow your own vegetables. Time that can be spent with family! I’m looking forward to seeing the new place when you move in!
