Saturday I remembered that we had bought a little package of a variety of colors of 2mm foam, which was the size I needed to finish the boots. I grabbed the pack and looked to see if there was a black sheet and there was so I was able to finish the boots.
I’m not sure she really likes them. At first she did but now she’s telling me they look “funky”. I don’t even know what that means
She looks like she’s happy with them . . who knows with kids
I have a purse pattern for the doll and she picked out a teal fabric so my plan today is to get that made and I have a pair of short boots for the doll that I want to make.

She likes them. Funky is another way of saying they’re cool!

How fun. As a child of her age I learned how to make doll clothes. First I learned how to hand sew then my grandma taught me how to use a sewing machine when I was about 10. Neither one of my daughters liked dolls. I’m 79 & still love dolls.

I think I must still love dolls because I’m having too much fun sewing these clothes.

Looks good and it looks like she’s happy that her doll likes them, too.

Funky means that they are not as cool as the dress, but the doll has not complained so far. Funky is way better than Fonkey, which is totally unacceptable.
Judy Laquidara says
Thank you for enlightening me! 🙂

I think they look great and are probably better made than any you could buy!

When I saw your headline, I immediately thought of your cat Boots!! LOL

I think that on the doll they are cute as anything!
