Addie has fallen in love with plums. I’m not sure she’s ever eaten them before. I was telling her how good they were and she was a bit apprehensive about eating them. The skins are really sour on the two trees that still have plums on them but the inside is so sweet. I love the combination of sour and sweet but, at first, she didn’t like it. Somehow that changed and every time I look out, she’s up on the ladder picking plums. I showed her how to make sure it was secure before climbing up and there probably aren’t more than a dozen plums left in the tree. Most of them she can reach without the ladder but she said she likes the ladder.
Those chickens will about take her down to get a plum so she sits on the ladder while eating them.
She had on one of my old sleep shirts because we both painted a canvas this morning.
I sent Nicole the pictures of her picking plums and eating them. Nicole said “She’s never going to come home.” I assured her . . . yes, she will come home. Granny is going to need a rest! 🙂

She’ll be disappointed when her mom buys some from the store when she gets home. After eating them fresh from the tree, any she tries from the store are going to be sorely lacking….

I told her already that the ones from the store most likely won’t taste like the ones off our tree.

What wonderful memories for her! You never know if you like something or not until you have tried it! She may insist on her parents getting a tree for their yard! I love her boots!!

Don’t forget to get pictures of both of you. Good memories in the making.
