Every day I think today will be the day I find a few minutes to sit down and blog but that girl is keeping me hopping.
This morning we needed some craft supplies and I had planned to go to Hobby Lobby and Walmart but made the mistake of going to Walmart first, hoping they would have everything I need and I wouldn’t have to go to Hobby Lobby but they didn’t but by the time we finished buying groceries, I had way more than what would fit in the cooler so we had to drive all the way back home – 20+ miles, put everything in the fridge/freezer; and drive back to town to go to Hobby Lobby. I’ve turned into one of THOSE kinds of grandparents! I bought fish sticks, corn dogs, stuff to make hot dogs . . by dinner time when I’m about to drop . . food is food and the nutritional value isn’t at the top of my priority list. Bad Granny!
We went back to town, waited in line forever at Chick-Fil-A so we could have a “picnic” in the parking lot under a tree because their dining room still isn’t open. Then we went to Hobby Lobby to get the craft supplies we needed, then to Tractor Supply to see if they had gotten in any more kids’ boots. They had not.
Today I started making a pair of cowboy boots for her doll. I think I’ve lost my mind.
Addie told me today that really wants her mom and dad to move to Texas but she wants her 8 month old cousin to move with them. Nicole was laughing about it and called her sister and as expected, the baby can’t come! 🙂
Addie keeps counting down how many days she has left. She told her dad on the phone last night that she might spend an extra week. I was kinda counting down the days too . . this is hard work but she’s welcome to stay as long as she wants . . so long as Vince is ok with beanie weanie and fish sticks! 🙂

Good memories for all three of you

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. She’ll have fun memories of spending time in Texas with grandparents – just like you have fond memories in Louisiana with yours.

Yes,that’s what I keep thinking.

I know that feeling. I can identify the “Grannies” in a store shopping with 1 or more children in tow. We have sort of a dazed look. But we have fun while it lasts.

Oh funny! I can’t wait until I can ship my daughter off to grandparents. Lol. Except mine sometimes wont even stay the night…she is that attached to me!

Had to laugh! Been there, done that. Enjoy your time with Addie. You can recuperate after she leaves. LOL

I had to laugh as making boots for the doll. That sounds like a lot of work! I hope she loves them. You will both have great memories of your time together!

Maybe he will develop a new palate in his mouth!!

I’m SO glad she feels that way. I know it was a toss up whether she would want to stay or not, but it looks like she not only will want to stay, she’ll want to come back. My mother always made me leave my friends before I was ready so I would want to come back again. =) It’s a good policy. That is so adorable that she wants her cousin to come, too. I know how thrilled taking care of a baby would make you. LOL
