We had over 1″ of much needed rain last night. There’s a chance we could get more rain late this evening. We’re always so thankful for any rain, especially this time of year. Our water is alkaline and it’s so hard on the garden. I have to spray some things, especially the okra, with chelated iron spray to try to keep it green. I had just done that Thursday so hopefully, between that and the rain, my okra will get a bit greener.
Addie is sleeping in this morning. Getting close to 8 a.m. and she’s still asleep. She wanted cinnamon toast for breakfast yesterday and I had already started the eggs and hash browns so I told her I’d fix cinnamon toast today.
We have some kind of a bead kit and she wants to work on that today so that will be the first crafty thing on our agenda today. I’m sure we’ll end up in the sewing room soon. She loves playing with Boots. Several times a day, she’ll ask if she can go over and play with Boots and that’s always fine. She’s loves him and I think he loves having a child to play with.
She’s awake now so it’s time to get our day started!

So glad y’all got some rain – we got some up in the Panhandle, too (we got almost 2-1/4″) – first rain we’ve had in a LONG time.
I can “almost” smell that cinnamon toast!

You are so lucky to have her here with you! I know she is having fun! We got 1 1/2 inches here at our house! I was surprised! I knew it rained and I could see the rain on the streets from upstairs but never realized it was raining that hard or that much. Yes we do need rain. You keep having fun with that little girl! She is growing up way too fast!

I can tell by the timing of the post, and no more following, that you had a great day together, and were busy, busy, busy!

We had rain in OKC yesterday – about 1.5″. A storm is coming down on us tonight! It’s about two counties away and coming fast!
Hope you are all enjoying that sweet little gal! Will we see the painted wardrobes? More clothes? Whatever you are cooking?
I sure hope you are not traveling back to MO right now!

Vince didn’t get them finished yet so I haven’t mentioned it to her til they’re ready to paint because she will be out there wanting to paint them while he’s still working on them.
