You know I’m not very sneaky – I tell all and there are no secrets. My intent is always not to say I’m away from home until I get back but how can I go days and days without a blog post? I know – the world would continue without a blog post from me but regular readers would get suspicious.
It’s probably safe to say that, at least for the most part, I won’t say ahead of time when I’m leaving but there will be blog posts that are obviously from Missouri while I’m here.
Vince stayed home so I’m here alone.
It’s really funny after paying rent for six months to spend the first night in the apartment last night. I’m such a chicken . . I thought I would be scared and awake most of the night but I guess after having gotten up way early, driven for 10 hours, visited with Chad and Nicole til 11:30 p.m., I was plenty tired and sleepy.
Not sure what’s happening next. The plan was that Addie and I would leave tomorrow and she will go home with me but that’s definitely not a certainty at this point. I think she’s gotten cold feet and may not go home with me. I’ve told her that it’s ok if she doesn’t come – I’m not upset with her. And, if she goes and isn’t happy and wants to come home, I’ll bring her back so . . we’ll see what happens.
And, her day care lady has had a death in her family and will be closed the rest of the week so if she doesn’t go home with me, I’ll stay a while longer to keep her.
Now . . that’s all the news I have to share!

I hope Addie decides to go with you to visit Texas since you have plenty to do with her. Does she know about the doll wardrobes that will need painting?
If you stay in Missouri, you may need to delay the drive back until next Monday or Tuesday to avoid traffic & crowds around Tulsa. There is a chance of rain on Sunday-Monday but I think it is too far out to be trustworthy in an OK June.

Enjoy your apartment and your time with Addie (and Chad & Nicole). Stay safe and healthy.

You are lucky they are so close. Our grandsons are 3000 miles away. Will be a long time before we can travel that far.

I know you will enjoy every minute of the time you spend with her! I hope she relents and comes home with you. Once she hears the baby sitter can’t be there, she may change her mind. It is kind of scary for little kids when they leave mom and dad and go so far away from them. But knowing he is only a day away from them helps. And you are not sneaky, you are being cautious! That is a good thing.

I am with my grandson, also this week. Three long months away! Enjoy yourself for every minute you are with her!

Have fun!!

Have a wonderful time with Addie! Oh, with Chad and Nicole too! 🙂

At least the apt. rent is less than a mortgage payment. That isn’t normal, either, because you would have been there at least 3 months ago without the virus precautions.

Right – add in homeowner’s insurance and property taxes and I’m getting a deal. I have renter’s insurance and it’s less than $100 per pyear – way less than home owner’s.
