I think I’ll finish my Camp Loopy June project today. I know . . I think I’m going to finish every project for days and days before I actually finish it.
You may remember that I started two other projects and they weren’t doing it for me so I cast on for this one and I love it – it’s bright, it’s cheery. When you see the whole thing, you’ll see why I like it so much!
I took a picture of the whole piece during the day yesterday but when I looked at it this morning, I was surprised to see how blurry it was. I must have been moving when I took the picture so all I have is this closeup.
It isn’t blocked but it will open up and the lace will become much more lacy. I can hardly wait to finish it and block it.
Today is the day we’re supposed to get the details about the July project. I love the planning and shopping more than I love the knitting!

I’m not sure I’m going to get the June project done unless I suddenly start knitting like the wind…I’m doing a shawl that goes in this order: Color 1: garter stitch section, Colors 1 and 2: mosaic section, Color 2: lace section, Colors 1 and 2: mosaic section, and end with Color 1: garter section. Right now I’m still in the first mosaic section, (and the rows get longer each row…). I just haven’t felt like knitting this week. (I had a injury, and it is sapping my energy. I’m not sick…) I haven’t done Camp Loopy for several years, because I normally just don’t have much time to knit in the summer. There is too much I need to do outside. As much fun as Camp Loopy is, I need to remember this…

I’m with you. It’s so hard to find enough knitting time in the summer. I figure that since I get a discount on the yarn, it’s worth attempting it and even if I don’t finish on time, I’ll finish the project at some point. I need to remember to stick with the minimum yards required and not try to make a 1,200 yard project in June.
I hope your injury is better but please don’t push yourself and make it worse.
