Last night I was thinking about what I would blog about today. I try to upload the photos the night before and that way, IF we don’t have internet the next day, I can drive down the driveway to the top of the hill and post something from the phone because . . you do know . . the world would stop turning if I didn’t have a blog post! 🙂
Since getting the new internet, I’ve almost gotten over my fear of not having internet.
So, I said to Vince:
Me: I don’t have anything interesting to blog about tomorrow.
Vince: Nothing?
Me: No. I never took a single picture today.
Vince: You can tell them you took a nap!
Me: Is that the only thing you remember that I did today?
Vince: Well, I wasn’t watching you all day so, yes, that’s all I remember.
All day I was busy and he remembers that I took a nap! I kept telling myself I didn’t need to take a nap; I’d go to bed early but by about 5:45 p.m., I knew I wasn’t going to make it so I asked him to wake me up at 7. Otherwise, I would have slept til 9 or 10 p.m., then get up and never go back to sleep.
So, at 7 p.m., he yelled from the living room: JUDY!! I jumped up and said “What’s wrong?” He said . . nothing. You wanted me to wake you up at 7.
Who screams to wake someone up? Men! 🙂
Really, you know I did more than take a nap. I worked in the garden a bit. Vince went to the grocery store this morning so I had to put the groceries away, then I chopped up enough purple onions to fill the freeze dryer and got it going again. It takes a LOT of onions to fill those four trays.
I picked plums. I think all the plums are off the four trees that have been producing. There are three more trees that will be ripe in about a week. The bulk of the plums are done though.
Today I’ll make another batch of plum jam. That’s the first thing on the agenda. I have pork chops defrosted so I’ll make something with them – not sure what. I’ll probably pick chard and make something with that. Not sure what. See a pattern here?

Need something to do with chard and asparagus! Also need smoothie recipes.

Naps are really good for your body and soul. You deserve every one you take!

I was about to say I never knew of you doing nothing all day long! Unless you were sick or something! You did a lot and you deserved that nap!! Do not let him make you feel bad! Just kidding, I know he knew you did a lot of work!

I thought of you today when I heard Andy Griffith say (as sheriff of Mayberry) “Well, ain’t that picking your peaches before they’re plump?” 😀
