For those of us who grow peaches or have access to fresh peaches, while reading through recipes for making fermented mustard, I came across this recipe for Peach Hot Sauce. It looks amazing .. at least to me it looks like something we would love. I wanted to share the link since this is the season, or it will soon will be in some areas, for peach everything.

I don’t care for peaches very much but had the yummiest peach salsa a couple of years ago. It was home made and so very tasty. Hope your hot sauce turns out well.

This sounds good! The peach chutney sounds even better. Last year when we were in New Zealand, our favorite place to get pizza was Zest. They did a wonderful Hawian pizza. No tomato sauce but used a local peach chutney as the base. It was heavenly! I will have to give this a go as we haven’t found peach chutney here.

We’re not much on chutney but, depending on how many peaches I end up with, I may try it. And that pizza definitely sounds good.

I do like peach salsa, but I’m not into hot things.

Did you make it? If so, how is it? I was just looking at the recipe, and was surprised that it only calls for 20 oz of peaches, but a pound of habaneros! I make Dilly Beans with half a habanero in each pint, and everybody loves them. I also make a pineapple habanero jam that is very popular. But this seems like a LOT of habaneros for that amount of peaches!

I haven’t made it yet. My second crop of peaches is just about to get ripe. I’ll definitely start off with less habanero peppers but it is 20 oz. of usable peaches and you’re weighing the peppers before removing the stems and seeds plus you add 1 cup of peach juice. I can’t really say til I’ve made it though.
