The hail wasn’t nearly as destructive in the garden as I had feared. It probably sounded way worse on the metal roof than it actually was.
Almost all the zucchini leaves had one little hole in them but I didn’t see anything else that had any damage at all.
That’s really no damage at all and I’m not complaining.
The yellow squash and Seminole pumpkins looked fine (excuse the weeds please!).
Those Seminole pumpkins will last an entire year if kept cool and dry so I’m hoping for an abundant crop of them. I don’t have to can them or freeze dry them – just lay them out on cardboard with towels, stick them in an extra bedroom and they’ll be good til next year’s crop. Wish all veggies were like that!

So glad the hail damage was minimal. Those metal roofs really do make a racket.

We can’t really hear it inside. The only way we hear it is if we go outside. My grandparents’ old house had a metal roof that I’m quite sure wasn’t insulated and I used to love sleeping when it was raining and I could hear the rain drops pounding on the roof. I was kinda expecting the same here but with the metal being insulated and the attic being insulated, we don’t hear it unless it is large and making a whole lot of racket.

Yeah, so glad minimal damage?
