To all you moms – Happy Mother’s Day!
Chad called and we had a nice chat. They’ve been working on their chicken coop. I actually figured it would look more like a dog house, especially since Chad always made fun of our coops. I was surprised when Nicole sent pictures.
Today they’re painting the coop!
Nicole said Addie is so excited about painting the coop. What a fun day they’re having.
Then Chad and I talked about his garden. He’s having so much fun with the garden. Who would ever have thought that would happen?
As a mom, seeing our kids grow up, and do the things we did; the things he complained about and now he’s enjoying them too . . that’s the best Mother’s Day gift I could receive.

I know what you mean – when I was growing up, I hated working in the garden (loved the produce, though), grew up and loved working in our garden and canning/freezing our produce (our kids didn’t care for it – kind of shook their heads, LOL), but now they enjoy reaping the rewards from their own gardens, etc. It’s all worthwhile and definitely makes one smile.

I painted my chicken coop a very deep purple, made a sign for it saying “Egg Plant”.

Happy Mother’s Day !!! Yes I know what you mean .. For Mother’s day my youngest daughter told her husband and her dogs – she wanted a garden with fresh vegges and be able to nurture it. So they have been buying veggies and companion plants as well . Does my heart good that one of my daughters are gardening and enjoying it!!!
