The cowl is dry and I took it out to get some photos.
It’s so long but the more I played around with it, the more I love it.
This is probably how I’d be more likely to wear it but you really don’t get to see the pretty design. It’s very warm and snuggly and even on a very cold day somewhere, this would be so nice to have around my neck.

It is beautiful!

Beautiful!

Lovely! That is a pretty pattern in it that is nice to see.
For really cold weather, that would fit over your head AND around your nick. After a few years in Texas, your “really cold” might be higher (temps) than it used to be.

Your cowl is beautiful, long but beautiful. Would be nice for the holidays if it’s truly red or even a deep pink. I have to watch for shawl patterns. Several were so long when done, I would have to save them for weather that felt like NJ in winter where I lived as a kid. I’m chilling as I get older so I have made good use of the triangle shawls I made with every skein and color combination that jumped into my hands at the shop. Not as much this past winter, but other winters I’m usually freezing after 4 p.m. and so I wore them a lot. I learned to make rounded shawls as well that started with knitting a tab, but found those did not stay on my shoulders well. So I went on to doing triangle shawls with lots of stitch changing or striping, or color fades, love making them. Love your cowl when it’s doubled as lots of cowls and shawls look too bulky styled like that. This one looks just right. Enjoy wearing although it surely needs to be set aside for the hot summer in TX. I’m always amazed that it gets so much hotter and drier where you live from DFW. But then again, DFW has been a change for me from Wichita Falls, especially the years WF had no rainfall.

We’re actually having nice, cooler days with highs in the mid-70’s after having those three or four days when it was about 105 already. That is so miserable – especially when it happens this early in the year.
Yes, I think I’m a triangular shaped shawl fan too. I’ve not made many half circle shawls and no true round ones that I recall.

I think it’s beautiful, and I’m not usually a fan of cowls.

Looks like a great Missouri cowl! =)
Dave says
where is the pattern to make it?
Judy Laquidara says
It’s a test knit and the pattern has not yet been published.
