The new pump for the freeze dryer had been scheduled to arrive yesterday. I checked the tracking on it about Wednesday but never checked it again. Really . . it’s here when it gets here and packages seem to be taking longer than normal. With some places, it’s taking longer to ship and then the shippers take longer. I’m not complaining except I will complain about Old Navy. I ordered some things for Addie on April 10 and there was nothing about shipping delays on their website. Here we are three weeks later and there’s still no mention of an anticipated shipping date. I’ve called them several times and there’s always a long wait. The recording starts out saying “Please hold. Your call will be answered in less than 2 minutes.” Then about a minute later, they come back and say “Please hold. Your call will be answered in less than 3 minutes” and it keeps going up til it gets to about 12 minutes, then they say “Please feel free to continue to hold or try your call again later.” I’ve never been able to get through to them. If Addie didn’t need the shorts so badly, I’d cancel the order.
Anyway . . we were expecting the new pump to arrive yesterday. We were sitting in the living room and heard a vehicle drive up. I could see in the widow reflection that it was a Fed Ex truck and that’s who is supposed to be bringing it. I said “Oh! We have a pump!” He turned around like he always does, sat there a minute and left. We used to go out and meet the drivers but now, we aren’t interacting with them so we both just sat in the house. Once he left, I went out there. They usually leave packages on the porch but there was no package. I thought maybe he left it in the back of the RTV since it was sitting out so I walked over there . . no package. I went back in the house and told Vince . I can’t find a package! He went out to look and he couldn’t find a package either. I checked tracking to see if it said “Delivered” and it had been changed to say that it would arrive on Monday.
It’s kinda funny because UPS did the same thing the other day. Came down the driveway, turned around and left. The Fed Ex guy left four or five packages one day and when I started looking at them, one wasn’t for us. Before I even opened the first box, here he came back down the driveway. He had realized he left it at the wrong house. I guess we’re all going a bit crazy these days.

I haven’t ordered anything for a while but I’ve heard too that orders are taking much longer to be delivered. Just something we have to live with I guess. I’m sure that if Addie needs shorts all that bad her mom will get her outfitted some way or other.

I’m busy quilting and FQS, also located in TX sometimes has items delivered almost overnight. Not now! It’s 10-15 days. I could kick myself for not ordering fabric earlier. It ran out and my quilt top is waiting with 11 of it’s 16 blocks done.

Chewy regular order took over 3.5 weeks, when it’s been a day later maybe 2. Heck it’s only coming from the DFW area. I ordered from Bath& Body works on 4-14, got it May 1. Ordered from Connecting Threads over 2 weeks ago, and still nothing. So don’t feel like the Lone Ranger !! It seems everyone has a case of “slowitious” !! Hope it improves. I do not want to have to go out looking/shopping for this stuff. Take care, Stay Well

Yes, I had an order from Chewy that took forever! I’m hoping that even after all this is over, the new slow shipping, low delivery won’t be part of our new normal.
