Nicole said all Addie can talk about is when Granny comes to get her and takes her to Texas.
Nicole was telling me yesterday that Addie keeps talking about everything she and I are going to do. We have a swing that Vince hangs on a mesquite branch and she loves to swing.
She told Nicole . . Maybe Granny will buy some baby chicks so I can play with them! Nicole reminded her that we already have chickens and probably don’t want baby chicks. I have a feeling Addie is carrying their baby chicks around all day. I told Nicole that we have three hens sitting on eggs right now. One seems pretty dedicated; two are nest hoppers. About the time they get a dozen eggs under them, they change to a new nest and leave the old ones behind. Aggravating chickens are wasting all my eggs! But, IF it’s possible that I can go an get here within the next three weeks, we could have baby chicks when she’s here. I would love for her to be here when they’re hatching.
I spent some time on the computer yesterday looking for matching doll/girl clothes but didn’t have much luck. I think I need to go to Hobby Lobby and look at patterns but . . that isn’t happening any time soon. Dang . . I know we’re all ready for this virus stuff to end! I heard that our Hobby Lobby opened back up Thursday but still . . I’m not going out just yet. But I’m thinking of things I want to do with her while she’s thinking of things she wants to do with me.

Can’t wait to give my 4-year-old grandson a hug! We talk on Skype every few days but he tells me I’m not supposed to go visit because it’s “sick-a-ness day”!! 🙂 Gotta love ’em!!

A sick-a-ness day! So cute for him to say that but sorry you can’t see him.

Hey Judy…. did you try Little Lizard King? They have matching dresses… I have the Lorne for little girls, looks pretty simple, but haven’t made it yet. Bad Nana! LOL They also have a Facebook page but that turns into a rabbit hole of epic proportions really fast! So many pretties!!!

This was going be my recommendation too. I bet between the 3 girls I made at least 200 of those dresses. I found where possible my serger sped up the process exponentially. They loved them. The moms kept them in tiissued boxes and are now being handed down to expanding family just starting out. Makes my heart sing.
Dar says
Donna, you are a very GOOD nana!! (hangs head in shame)……… LOL
Judy Laquidara says
I had not seen those. Thanks. Nicole doesn’t have time to iron so I need to look for patterns I can make with knit but I’ll go back and spend more time looking at those patterns. Thanks!
Judy Laquidara says
Thanks! That’s a great site. I’ll check out their FB page.

And all the playgrounds are all still closed.
Judy Laquidara says
And I think they should be. Germs/little hands all over every thing. We’ll have plenty to do here and probably wouldn’t go to the playgrounds anyway.
Eileen says
I’m so happy for both of you!!!
Judy Laquidara says
I’ll be much happier when it happens!

Check out the tutti fruitti fabric at Joanne’s it is a cotton but waffley (word?) fabric that doesn’t have to be ironed. I have not seen it at Hobby Lobby yet.
Judy Laquidara says
Thank you. That sounds like what I need.
