For the past couple or maybe three years, I haven’t done Camp Loopy but I’m going to do it this year. For those who aren’t familiar, The Loopy Ewe has “Camp Loopy” every summer. It starts in June and goes through August. I think they’re supposed to release the details the middle of this month.
For May, they’re having a “Ramp to Camp” where you kinda get ready for the actual camp. There were three choices for Ramp to Camp, just for May, and I chose Cowboy Camp because . . well, I live in Texas! There were several ideas about how to make your project fit into the theme but I love Malabrigo Rios yarn and as I was looking for yarn for a couple of patterns I thought might work, I came across a color I’d never seen before – Cowboy!
I’ve been so back and forth on what I want to make. My yarn hopefully will arrive today though if I had to bet, I’d say it will be Monday before it gets here. I want to make some comfy, kinda oversized but not hugely oversized, sweaters. I started out with one, then switched to another, then found a third one.
This one is called Dinah and it’s on the cover of Issue #149 of The Knitter magazine. I really like it and am pretty sure that’s what I’m going to make. Of course, if the yarn doesn’t arrive til Monday, I have lots of time to change my mind!

I love that sweater and I love the yarn!

Thanks. It arrived today. I have about 25 more rows on a test knit so I’m going to do 5 more rows on that today and then start the new sweater.

I am about to finish the side to side sweater and I will post pictures so you can see what I have done. It was not near as hard as I tried to make it out to be!!

I haven’t seen anything on TLE Ramp to Camp. What am I missing?
Just finished my second semester of Loopy Grad School. I majored in sweaters. I now have 4 sweaters between the 2 semesters and nowhere to wear them! The other 2 sweaters I made for my great niece. I’m a size 3XL. She’s a size 3T. It’s more fun to knit for her!

Some day it will get cold again and we’ll be able to leave the house. Definitely more fun to knit for those smaller sizes but Addie is so picky and her mom is not so great about laundry instructions so I’ve stopped knitting for her.

I like the sweater! Beautiful!
