Vince and I figured it was the pump that was casing the issues and that’s what Harvest Right thinks too so the new pump has been shipped. Of course, it was no longer under warranty and it was not cheap. Vince is going to take the old one apart and see if he can figure out what’s wrong with it. He loves taking things apart so it will be entertaining for him.
My fear was that I wouldn’t have it fixed before the peaches get ripe but he should be able to change the pump as soon as the new one arrives and I’ll be ready to go again and I’ll be hoping the new pump lasts longer than the old one did.
Teri says
Good to hear that it will be fixed soon!
Terri says
Yay! Except boo for out of warranty!
cweber1033 says
maybe they didn’t expect it to be run as much as you run yours.
Judy Laquidara says
I think they expect them to be run probably more than I ran mine. I’m gone about half the time so it’s not running if I’m not here.
Nelle Coursey says
Yea!! I bet with Vince working on it, he can fix the old one and you might have a back up when the new one comes and you get it installed.
Judy Laquidara says
That’s what he’s planning to do.
Susan Nixon says
Hopefully, Vince can fix the old one and you can switch back and forth as needed. It seems to me it cost enough it should have lasted longer. You have done all the maintenance required, plus more, so that’s not the issue! I’m glad it will be in time for your peaches.
Judy Laquidara says
That’s what he’s hoping to do. Vince can fix anything so I am fairly sure he will be able to do it.
April Reeves says
I didn’t know how wonderful it is to have someone who can fix anything till I got one. I make jokes about sleeping with the plumber, the pool boy, my mechanic, and A/C guy cause well he is all of those. lol.
Judy Laquidara says
You do seem to get around! Oh . . you’re saying the plumber, pool boy, mechanic and A/C guy are one person! 🙂
It is so nice to know that whatever happens, Vince can fix it. Well, I try not to let him near my car and he did drain the water heater through the house with a soaker hose but, he always manages to fix everything, including the things he messed up in the process of fixing something.
April Reeves says
There might be a trip or two to Lowes (10 if a plumbing project) but in the end it works again.
He has actually pissed off a couple of A/C guys as troubleshooting that is not as easy for him but he can fix it once he figures out what is wrong. So he has called out an A/C company or two to help him diagnose the issue and they get mad when he won’t pay them to fix it cause the mark up on their parts is ridiculous. They get paid $150 or more to come to our house for 15 minutes to troubleshoot so it is not like we are taking advantage of them. We are paying for their time and expertise.
