I’m always quick to complain about bad customer service so I want to give equal publicity for good customer service. Moen Faucets has really, really good customer service.
We put a new faucet in our kitchen when we re-did the countertops probably about 7 years ago. It was a rather expensive faucet. We used it about two years and then something wasn’t right. It’s a different kind of faucet with a handle that’s a bit weird and I figured I’d been too rough with it because it’s easy to have dirty hands from meat or garden veggies and kinda give the faucet a little nudge. I just wasn’t sure if I needed to be more gentle with it (though it probably isn’t me who wasn’t being gentle enough). Vince called Moen, explained to them what was wrong and asked if there were parts available that he could order. They said “Sure! We’ll send them right out!” The parts were under warranty and there was no charge.
Vince fixed the faucet and all was well for a long time. Sunday I noticed it was doing the same thing again. Monday Vince called Moen and he was going to see if he could order the same parts they sent last time, and totally not expecting it to still be under warranty. They looked up our records, and said “Oh, we sent you those parts five years ago. It’s under warranty. We’ll get them right out to you!” They did! They were shipped yesterday.
For us, if we ever need another faucet, we’ll be buying Moen. Maybe all faucet makers have excellent customer service. I have no idea . . all I know about is Moen.
