Yesterday I was in the sewing room working on masks and the yarn was calling out to me. There’s a cowl I’ve been wanting to make and it needs two colors – a solid and a very multi color. I dug til I found these two that I think will work.

Then, there’s a sweater I’ve wanted to make for a few years but I’m not sure how it will look on me but now, I’ve decided I’m just going to make it. If it doesn’t look good . . too bad; if I like it – I’ll wear it.
I needed three skeins of a solid and two skeins of a kind of coordinating multi colored yarn. I have a lime green/white yarn with blackish speckles and I was thinking if I could find a dark green that went with the lime, that would be pretty but after spending too much time looking, I decided on this combo.

It’s a bit muted for my tastes but I think it reflects the days in which we’re living. If I love the sweater, I can always make a brighter one later. I really think I might get a lot of wear out of this color though.
Starting is one thing . . finishing . . not happening so much lately.
