I saw this recipe for Rye Pretzels. Oh, how we love rye. Then there are these Chocolate Salted Caramel Bars. I have a bag of caramels but I may not have 14 oz. It looks like it would be pretty easy to half the recipe and that’s more than enough for us.
I’ve mentioned this before but when I’m on a road trip, it’s like I have to eat snacks I wouldn’t normally eat. I usually stop first before I get out of Texas for gas and a restroom break and that’s where I buy a bag of potato chips and an Almond Joy. I have plenty of healthy snacks in the car but there’s something about being on the road that makes it ok in my mind to eat junk food. I guess it’s the same thing with isolation, or maybe I just feel the need indulge in the pleasures I don’t normally allow myself. Who knows but both those recipes look amazing.

I’ve been fixing lots of pudding, because I consider it “comfort food”. I’m planning to bake oatmeal cookies this weekend, so I have something to snack on that doesn’t sound quite so “bad” for me. Oats are healthy, right? 🙂
