Cat Broke Up With Me

I think whatever happened outside the other night scared Cat and she has been on edge ever since. We do think it was a bobcat that caused the destruction. A couple of nights before, when Vince got up and went out there, the food bowl was gone. He has the container that holds the food bowl bolted down but that morning, the food bowl had been removed from the holder. Vince found it out in the yard so he’s started removing the food bowl at night.

I think we should always have trail cams set up but . . well, there were none out there until yesterday. Of course, whatever critter it was didn’t come back but I haven’t been wandering around outside after dark. It’s kinda spooky that an animal was able to shred that heavy moving pad like it did.

Anyway, I caught a glimpse of Cat several times Tuesday but never saw her when I was outside. Yesterday she was under my car when I was walking over to the sewing room. I sat down on her cat tree and called her. She walked by me, almost close enough to touch her but then she went back under my car.

Later I went out and she was on top of Vince’s car. It’s at the opposite end of the carport from my car and the walk through door to the shop so she was basically as far away as she could get so as not to have any interaction with me.

What on earth is her problem? I didn’t have anything to do with the wild critter tearing up her area! All I can do is wait til she decides she wants to be my friend again.

I didn’t see any post about an intruder, either! The last post I saw was about Boots in the sewing room.

It was a bobcat that tore up Cat’s area one night. Just shredded everything!

I’m glad it didn’t shred Cat! That must have been scary for her!

Me too. She can stay inside at night but she has to make up her mind before we close up the shop. Sometimes she stays in and sometimes she stays out.

That is scary especially when you think of you going out with little Rita!

She probably isn’t too trusting of anyone right now. How weird, though. You’d think she might want the security and protection.
