We’ve lived in areas with very high humidity. In fact, this is the first place we’ve lived where there’s low humidity and it’s very low humidity.
It’s rare that we have a humid day but today was a humid day.
The plants are under the carport, it had not rained. In the middle of the afternoon, I hadn’t watered the plants and some of them had little droplets of water on their cute little leaves. That was kinda funny to see and was a testament to how humid it is here today.

I live just outside Phoenix, and figure the storms we have had the last few days are headed your way. Like Texas, Arizona needs this rain.

Our area definitely needs the rain. We just don’t need scary storms or thunder during the night when Rita will keep us awake. We sure are picky, aren’t we? 🙂

It’s a secretion from the plant’s pores, called Guttation, which occurs when root pressure is high and transpiration is low. Guttation is frequently seen occurring at night in herbaceous plants growing under conditions of high soil moisture and high atmospheric humidity. If your humidity is indeed high, then your plants are in wet soil. Have you watered them recently?
Judy Laquidara says
We just bought the plants a couple of days ago. I think I watered them Wednesday and I watered them after taking the picture. Never heard of Guttation. Thanks for the explanation.

I have tons of humidity. You can have it all. And the rain this week, too! I’m so sick of not seeing the sun! Just thought you’d want to hear the complaint flipped over to the other side. LOL. And it’s all true!
