You’d be correct if you’re thinking . . BUT I thought you were going to finish the Swallowtail sweater! Or, you could be thinking it’s time I finish that pretty red cable sweater, or the orange socks, or the pink socks, or the bulky weight sweater.
You know I have a good reason for starting a new project. It could be anything from . . I wanted to do it or . . I need to do it! In this case . . I need to do it.
Eat, Sleep, Knit’s first quarter Knit Along is anything by Tiny Owl Knits. When I first looked at their patterns, I decided to skip this KAL but the more I looked at them, the more I fell in love with a couple of them – especially Moonkoosa Boots.
We have the entire year to finish and submit these quarterly knit along projects . . well, technically, I think they’re due before December 25. But this year, we get an extra star if we finish them in their designated quarter so by the end of March, I’d like to have my Q1 projects done and submitted.
Last night I wound up this yarn from the stash and I’m going to use this to make Moonkoosa Boots!
They should be pretty quick to make . . we’ll see.

Those look fun to wear, since you don’t have indoor cats to go for the fringe! (Maybe don’t wear them to the sewing room.)
Is the foot felted? How do you control the size?
Judy Laquidara says
You’re right. Hadn’t thought of that. I was going to make Addie a pair but they do have an indoor cat. Thanks!
Yes, they are felted and what happens is you dry them til they’re almost the right size, then stuff them full of paper or plastic bags or something and let them finish drying.

Looks like fun, and something different.
Nelle Coursey says
I looked them up and they are really cute!!
Judy Laquidara says
Aren’t they so cute?
