We really believe in consuming lots of fermented foods – sauerkraut, yogurt, kefir, miso, kimchi, etc. We made kombucha for years but Vince stopped drinking it and I couldn’t drink all I was making so I gave that up.
Ginger bug can be added to fruit juices and left on the counter for a few days, similar to kombucha, to make a fizzy drink. My preference, especially while we’re on the diet, is to use the Soda Stream to make fizzy water and put a few tablespoons of the ginger bug in it. There is some sugar in there but it’s a very refreshing drink.

That’s really interesting. I tried Kombucha from the health food store and liked it. I may try to get into the routine of drinking it and when that happens I’ll see if I can make my own brew. I had to take several rounds of antibiotic a few months ago and my stomach / gut is still feeling it.
