Now that Vince is retired, weekends shouldn’t be any different from any other days but for some reason, weekends seem slower paced and we both look forward to weekends . . when we remember that it’s the weekend.
Yesterday I cooked a chuck roast and I’ll probably steam broccoli and make a salad and that will be our meal for tomorrow.
When I made the Chicken, Broccoli, Rice & Cheese a day or so ago, I only used half the chicken. I want to make this Chicken, Brown Rice soup today. The cedar pollen has me sneezing a million times a day and sneezing so much makes my throat feel scratchy sometimes . . not to mention the other allergy symptoms. Soup feels good on my throat.
Otherwise, I’m hoping to knit a whole lot today. It’s going to be a pretty day but . . the cedar pollen! I’m trying to stay in til it’s gone but that’s probably weeks and weeks.
You know what’s weird? When we lived in Missouri, the cedar pollen never bothered me but I’ve apparently become so sensitized to it here, that now it also bothers me there. The park across from Chad’s house is full of cedar trees. Last year I was there when they were producing pollen, couldn’t figure out why I kept sneezing, kept blaming it on their cat and then I looked out and saw all the orange pollen in those trees. I’m not sure how many cedar trees there are there . . most definitely less than there are here because I never noticed them when we lived there. One thing for sure, I’m not telling Vince because that will be another reason NOT to move there. 🙂

The allergies are very low on the priority list when a granddaughter is invited!! 🙂

That was supposed to be “involved!”

LOL As you know I can’t take the Texas Cedar Fever drops, so I take the Allergy D and use Mucinex Severe Sinus. They have a day and night and it also comes in a cool menthol or something like that. When I take it, it reminds me of inhaling the Vicks inhaler. But that works for me. I do that for about 2 weeks and I am usually ok. And I go back to my regular Zyrtec.

Even the day time anything sends me to bed for most of the day. I am worthless taking any kind of meds. The Texas Cedar Fever drops were so good the first few years I used them but I must have gotten immune to them.
