An Oldie – My Second Pair of Socks

This post is from early November, 2006. My fabric stash was packed away because we were moving from Kentucky to Missouri the day after Christmas. I also still have and wear these socks.

A funny thing – I believe most of the yarn shown in the bottom photo is still in my stash, 14 years later. I think I’ve used the green and yellow yarn but that may be all I’ve used. I need to check and see how much of that yarn I can find.

At that time, 14 years ago . . that was the extent of my yarn stash. A lot can happen in 14 years!

Here’s my second pair of socks that I finished tonight. I did a much better job of lining up the stripes. They are gray, black and red . . love ’em!

Susan had posted some really cool socks she made so I wrote her and asked what yarn she used. She not only told me what yarn it was but sent me a link to an online shop that had it so I placed an order. Of course, it had to be one of those places where you get free shipping if you spend you life savings so I ordered a bit more than just the yarn Susan recommended.

Guess I’ll have to go fondle the yarn and decide which ones to do next. The black tweedy one on the top left was my choice a few minutes ago but I’m now leaning toward the yellow/green on the top right.

I knew I wouldn’t miss by fabric stash once it was packed away! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m thinking your moves were the cause of the switch from fabric to yarn. =) I can’t believe that’s all the yarn you had and you were already on your second pair of socks! LOL
