I think I was gone for four days and this is what I found when I got home. And they survived! 🙂
Here’s the old post . .
I left Tuesday morning before breakfast, came home tonight . . to this!
In the second picture, just look . . the empty milk jug is left on the counter (instead of rinsing and placing in the recycle container just outside the kitchen door in the garage .. they have to walk right by it to get to their vehicles). The little trash container is running over. Yes, it’s small but it would have been running over had I left a 50 gallon drum in the kitchen. The paper towels are gone and no one bothered to put a new roll on the container.
I spent just a few minutes cleaning and it’s all spiffy, clean dishes unpacked from the dishwasher, it’s reloaded and running again, excess dishes that didn’t fit are washed and put away, countertops are polished.
Notice the windows are open — we’ve been one week without air conditioning and it is supposed to be fixed tomorrow. I surely hope so!
OK . . the kitchen is clean and Chad arrives home . . hungry! I dared him to mess up the kitchen! He had sent me a list of what he wanted from Panera Bread if I found one in Springfield and I did find one. Notice his nice haircut! 🙂

Not really but I did what I had to do so I didn’t get up and have to face it the next morning.

Yup – better than me too. I used to travel a lot for work and came home to a similar mess. I asked my husband to help clean it up but he couldn’t “spare the time” since he was playing in a softball tournament. I left the mess, and left for work again Monday morning. When I got home the next Friday that kitchen was spotless. He got the message. LOL

I am quite sure it would have been a bigger mess when I returned the next week if I had left it. The funny thing is that Chad is such a neat freak now. When I’m cooking in his kitchen, my clutter drives him crazy!

I have left a coffee cup, with the nastiness in the bottom of the cup, on the counter for a week, before he got it put in the dishwasher, that was right below the cup!

We both pick up after each other so I never mind picking up a few things. Vince probably actually picks up more little stuff of mine than I do his.

I miss my dishwasher! I don’t need it, but I miss knowing that everything has been sanitized. LOL
