This week we’ve been to town on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Can you believe that? There were good reasons for each trip but that’s about to change.
Tuesday:
Vince had his Tractor Supply discount that he’d been waiting to receive and we were nearly out of chicken feed. We also needed milk. We don’t buy milk at Aldi – not sure why but their milk goes bad before the expiration date, so we got milk and a few things at Walmart, then went to Aldi for the rest of our shopping.
Thursday:
I had a hair cut appointment and needed to go to Hobby Lobby to get more yarn for Nicole. I had bought her enough to make a throw for Christmas but she ran out. We also went to Aldi because I had bought a “light” cast iron Dutch oven for my apartment on Tuesday, told Chad about it and he wanted one so I picked up one for him yesterday. Also, we had bought new pillows there on Tuesday. Vince loved his and wanted to get another one for his apartment pillow. I liked them but I have a bum shoulder and the pillow was stiff enough or something that there was pressure on my shoulder and it hurt so much that I got up during the night and got my other pillow back. I tried to tell Vince he could take my new Aldi pillow but he’s sure I’ll want it back some day . . some day! 🙂
Friday:
I had ordered a 2″ foam mattress pad and it arrived today and had to be picked up.
We were talking about creating a challenge for ourselves to see how long we can go without having to go back to town. We decided that we could go months without going back to town except for milk. I suggested we get a cow but I think Vince vetoed that idea. No grass. No pond. Too many trips to MO . . I’m ok without a cow but I would love to have a milk cow.
So it’s official . . we’re going to see how long we can go without going to town. Any guesses as to who will be the first one to need to go to town? I have my ideas but as soon as I think it won’t be me, I’ll think of something I have to have! Time will tell.

I finally resorted to buying organic milk in a carton. It’s more expensive but the use-by date is always a month out, and it never goes sour before time. No more skipping oatmeal for breakfast because I’m out of milk. I was always battling expiration dates with regular milk purchases.

There really isn’t any need to guess who, is there? We all know the answer to that. As to when, it won’t matter, because we all already know the who! 🙂

My money’s on Vince. He’ll get antsy and think of a reason to go somewhere. At least that’s what Bob does.
