Yesterday as I was taking pictures of the quilt on our bed, I realized I could get pictures of Rita’s bed.
You can see how it sits just below the level of our bed since we changed the mattress set on our bed. The brown you see is a towel I spread over the bassinet mattress. At each end, I put a pillow.
I put her little bed in between the two pillows so if she gets out of her bed, she either runs into the back of the bassinet, one of the two side pillows our, in front – our bed. She pretty much sleeps all night til she hears us talking in the morning and she doesn’t wiggle around much and I think one of us will hear her if she stirs. A couple of times at night when I hear her moving, I read over and can cover her up – we sleep with the house cold and if she manages to get out from under her blanket, she probably gets cold.
That bassinet was worth every dime we spent on it – she’s close and probably thinks she’s sleeping in our bed . . but she isn’t, and that makes me happy!

There are probably not a lot of people in the world that would go to the expense to make their dog happy…or maybe there are…. Anyway, if you’re happy and Rita is happy, that’s the important part! 🙂

You are so good to her. She is lucky she found you!

That was such a great idea, and so perfect for a little blind dog who still wants to be part of things.
