This project all started out as a Temperature Tracker Blanket, which was supposed to be my all year Eat, Sleep, Knit project for 2019.
A lot of effort went into planning this project.
And there was a bit of money that went into buying the yarn for it. For the yarns that would be used for the temps that dominate our climate, 90 to 110, I bought more than one skein.
In the end, I only got through January. As I was deciding whether to finish the blanket or rip the project back . . which took about half a second to realize I would probably never finish a fingering weight blanket, so I should rip it out. Thankfully, before ripping it all out, the thought occurred to me that I could add ribbing to the other side of what I had already started and make a cheerful, bright scarf.
That’s what I did and I absolutely love it.
It’s easy to wear, will go great with a solid jacket.
And, it’s a UFO marked off the list!

A great save, Judy. It is a beautiful scarf and, as you say, another UFO off the list!

Such a pretty scarf! I still need to finish off my temp tracker shawl – I think I have a month to add before I get to unravel all that fringe along the steek.

I like it. In fact, can you share the pattern name. I like the end finish. And your ribbing idea.

Beautiful! I spent 6 months last year making a sport weight crochet blanket, queen size! It was a monster, I gained 15 lbs working on it too, LOL! Love your scarf, great save!

I love it! Bright and cheery for the cold bleak times!
