Y’all are going to be so very proud of me!
Eat, Sleep, Knit’s big project for 2019 was a Temperature Tracker “something”. I was going to make a blanket. Here’s the first blog post I did about it.
At some point, probably about the middle of March, I finished the January knitting.
I pulled it out the other day and said no . . I’m not going to make a blanket. I was going to rip it out but just before I pulled the needles out, I thought . . this would be a pretty cowl. Then I remembered that there are some really loose stitches in the back because it is supposed to be steeked and the way this pattern is written, you just leave longer tails when changing yarn and don’t try to keep them tight because you’ll be cutting up the middle.
I decided to make into a scarf but I didn’t like that white-ish ribbing so I took it off, made one side of the ribbing pink and the other side purple.
It’s drying now. It will be a scarf instead of being ripped back. I’ll trim the fringe once it’s dry and that will be another ufo finished and off the ufo list! I think that’s 5 that I’ve finished or ripped since the beginning of the year.
I kinda don’t even know what I want to do next – work on a recently started project (like Mac & Cheese), or work on another older project. Decisions! 🙂

That was a great decision, because it makes a beautiful and cheerful scarf – which one needs on cold and dreary days!

I’ve just about finished the temperature quilt for 2019 that you helped inspire me to make. I just have to figure out what to do with some extra spaces–how to put a temp guide in.
Then a woman at one of my stitching groups suggested doing another one for this year, for sake of comparison! Yeek! That was after I mentioned we broke 100 degrees on only one day this year.
