Vince has been cleaning . . going through boxes. He’s found some treasures.
This is the house where he grew up in New York. It had long since been abandoned when he took this picture. The last time we were in NY to visit his brother, the house had almost fallen down. I wish I could have known his mother and been able to get his dad’s meatball recipe. No matter how I make them, they aren’t like his dad’s.
This is Vince’s first passport picture. That picture was taken probably 10 or 15 years before I met him. He really looks Italian in that picture. He gets very dark in the summer so that picture was probably taken near the end of summer and of course, his hair was much darker.
I wish I had known him when we were both younger but I’m sure we met at exactly the time we were supposed to meet and I surely can’t complain about how our lives together have been.

Michael and I met when he was 48 and I 38. I often say I wished we had met earlier in life so we could have had more time together and he always said, “we wouldn’t have liked each other earlier in our lives.” And he’s probably right!

I think we all had darker hair years ago! LOL But he does look very handsome in that picture.

He does look very Italian in the picture. It is so nice to have a picture of the old house. That’s something his grandson might be interested in having someday.
